25 years in June.
I attended Wright State in Dayton, Ohio while starting my career at Rittal in Springfield, Ohio. I began working in the Mod Center as a Field Technician. Over the course of my 25 years, I have held various positions including TSG (Quote Team), Inside Sales, IT Project Manager, HP OEM Account Manager, Key Account Manager, System Consultant, and Inside Sales. I relocated from Ohio to Texas in January of 2013 to take on the HP OEM Account Manager. Currently, I’m an Account Manager for the Industrial Automation side of our business and this is the most exciting role I’ve held.
I saw many people work hard and have great career paths at Rittal, including my father. The great people and products drew me into the company. I started when I was in high school and continued while I was in college. The friendships, professional relationships, and career path advancements have kept me here.
I am currently helping a customer that does testing on large engines with a custom Command Panel support arm system. This arm will span 8 feet from the wall, hinge, lift up and down, and have connectors on the Command Panel enclosure for them to make connections.
It is definitely, without a doubt, my father. His amazing work ethic, loyalty, dedication, and strength of character have inspired me to follow in his footsteps. Everyone who has worked with or for my dad has tremendous respect for him. Many of his professional relationships have turned into lifelong friendships. I was fortunate enough to experience his character and generosity first-hand during my career at Rittal. I hope that I can leave the type of legacy he has left, but admittedly, those are big shoes to fill.
Work hard and don’t be afraid to voice your opinion or ask questions, this will help you learn and grow your career.
A true leader leads by example and cares just as much as their employees and helps to build them up; this is called servant-leadership. A servant leader focuses primarily on the growth and well-being of people and the communities to which they belong. While traditional leadership generally involves the accumulation and exercise of power by one at the “top of the pyramid,” servant-leadership is different. The servant-leader shares power puts the needs of others first, and helps people develop and perform as highly as possible.
When I received a promotion to HP OEM Rittal Account Manager and Rittal moved my family to Houston, Texas. I was excited about the opportunity and the positive impact on my family as we started a new adventure together.
I enjoy watching my teenage daughter play high school and club soccer, all types of fishing, and riding my mountain bike.
